Visible and Invisible Forces

  • Grade 3
  • Science and Technology
  • Understanding Matter and Energy

Description

In this activity, students learn about frictional force, gravitational force, muscular force, elastic force, and magnetic force by distinguishing between push and pull forces.

They then write lines of code to give precise instructions to make a robot (or a person) perform movements. They create a compilation chart of the instructions, movements and forces used in the coding activity.

Learning goals

  • I use contact and distance forces to move objects.
  • I write code to give specific instructions.
