Description
In this activity, students examine the contribution of various Indigenous cultures to Canadian identity and discover how they can teach us about their history and world views through their artistic practices. They discover the work and worldview of two Indigenous women: Christi Belcourt, Métis artist, and Kenojuak Ashevak, Inuit artist. Students also reflect on the harmful effects of cultural appropriation.
