One Thing Leads to Another

Description

In this activity, students learn to identify the elements that make up the structure of a story in a text, namely the initial situation, the triggering element, the events, the denouement and the final situation. Each student adds a twist to a story of their choice from two texts and presents it in the form of drawings. A short story from the Centre franco is used in the "J'apprends" section of the activity where the student must read the text and identify the five parts of the story. When you open the link to the resource, you will be prompted to choose an Ontario French-language school board and log in to a school account. If this is not possible, you can find another short story to use and ask your child to identify the parts of the story. This could be a Boukili story or even a story in a book.
