One Thing Leads to Another

Description

In this activity, students learn to identify the elements that make up the structure of a story in a text, namely the initial situation, the triggering element, the twists and turns, the denouement and the final situation. The student presents the text in the form of drawings and adds a twist to a story that he or she chooses from two texts.

A short story from the Centre franco is used in the "J'apprends" section of the activity where the student must read the text and identify the five parts of the story. When you open the link to the resource, you will be prompted to choose your child's school board (Ontario French-language school board)) and log in to their school account. If this is not possible, you can find another short story to use and ask your child to identify the parts of the story. This could be a Boukili story or even a story in a book.
