Description
In this activity, students learn how to skim an incentive text, the travel guide, to identify its topic and important ideas. Students write down these ideas to help them retain information to convince their family to visit a region of Ontario.
A travel guide in a Centre franco online textbook is used in the "J'apprends" section of the acivity where the student must read the text and find the important ideas. When you open the link to the resource, you will be prompted to choose your child's school board (Ontario French-language school board) and log in to their school account. If this is not possible, you can find another tourist guide or pamphlet to use with your child and ask them to identify the important ideas in the text.
