Description
In this activity, students plan an opinion piece. Students read an example to discover the characteristics of this type of text. Students learn to write an opinion piece on how to combat discrimination.
An opinion text on lake conservation in a Centre franco online textbook is used in the "J'apprends" section of the activity where the student must read the text and find the features of the opinion text. When you open the link to the resource, you will be prompted to choose your child's school board (Ontario French-language school board) and log in to their school account. If this is not possible, you can find another opinion text about protecting lakes or ecosystems to use with your child and ask them to find the features of the opinion text.
